Willow Creek Ranch
The Willow Creek Ranch is exquisitely located in the "Wine Country" of Napa County, California. The ranch is approximately 800+/- acres with tremendous game habitat for Columbian Blacktail Deer, Rio Grande Wild Turkeys and Wild Pigs. While this is the smallest ranch we have offered in our wildlife management portfolio, we are extremely honored to have been offered the opportunity. Everything about this ranch makes it feel way bigger then 800 acres, it's topography, grassland, chaparral/scrub, oak woodland and coniferous forest will test the medal of any of us. We are expecting great things from this "little A zone ranch".
We are excited that the ownership will allow us the ability to put our management objectives to work and conservatively harvest the game to insure that we are offering quality hunts to our clients. We will be offering very limited A Zone Columbian Blacktail Hunting for both archery and rifle, Spring Rio Grande Wild Turkey Hunting and Wild Pig Hunting.
The Blodgett Ranch, nestled near Paynes Creek, California, lies within the captivating volcanic foothills of the eastern Sacramento Valley, close to Lassen. This picturesque region is characterized by its rugged beauty, shaped by ancient lava flows and dotted with unique geological features. The ranch has a rich history that traces back to the early 20th century. Around 1912, Ruby Blodgett established a homestead on 160 acres in the area and gradually expanded her holdings over the years.
Located just south of the iconic Black Butte, the ranch is steeped in historical significance. Black Butte, a prominent volcanic formation, was once used as a lookout by the Yana Indians to survey their territory. Today, the Blodgett Ranch remains a testament to the resilience and vision of early settlers in the southern Shasta and Tehama counties, serving as a historical landmark in this breathtaking landscape.
We are deeply honored that the landowners have entrusted the SC2 Outdoors Team to implement our wildlife management program on such a historic and picturesque ranch. We take immense pride in offering limited opportunities for hunting California Blacktail Deer, California Black Bear, Rio Grande Wild Turkey, and California Valley Quail, ensuring a sustainable approach that preserves the ranch's natural heritage for generations to come.
